Left Behind Games Inc. is currently searching for a Quality Assurance Manager to direct our in-house overseas QA efforts from our Murrieta, California headquarters. The QA Manager will be responsible for all quality control oversight for Left Behind Games, and will also be responsible for setting project procedures and parameters, ensuring deadlines are met, and actively managing testing resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Planning, implementing and managing our in-house overseas quality assurance resources to ensure that our debut and successive products meet or exceed all quality standards, and in a timely manner.
o Create and communicate testing policies, procedures and standards.
o Execute structured processes to achieve quality standards.
o Ensure game bugs & unintended software occurrences are meticulously tracked and corrected.
o Direct the in-house and overseas execution of testing plans and standard operating procedures.
o Accountable for short and long term QA planning and testing schedules for all titles.
• Responsible for the day-to-day activities within the quality assurance department and responsible for the development of the QA Team.
o Defines and implements QA department objectives, policies and goals.
o Coordinates with our in-house and overseas QA Leads; developing, coaching, and training QA testers.
o Manages assigned QA activities, including software engineering quality assurance, compatibility testing, and executive reporting.
o Responsible for establishing testing schedules, priorities, timelines and directing/re-directing QA manpower distribution.
• Interfaces with Producers, Customer Service, Tech Support and Executive Management to proactively build a fluid consumer experience and well understood corporate policies.
o Set and enforce standards of gameplay experience from Installation to Multiplayer Sessions.
o Plan to support a wide variety of consumer knowledge levels – from novice to seasoned expert
o Create corporate infrastructure for consumer feedback and troubleshooting and work to build Customer Service response mechanisms and knowledge databases.
o Use development tools to gather technical product information, integrate consumer feedback into ongoing test processes, and successfully resolve quality issues.
Education, Work Experience and Skills (qualifications):
o Excellent writing, typing and verbal communication skills a must
o Strong command of English spelling and grammar; additional language(s) a plus; especially Russian
o Video game and/or computer game testing experience mandatory
o Staff management experience required
o Bachelors Degree or more preferred
o Experience building complex test cases
o Excellent project, time and resource management skills
o Knowledge of Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo submission processes a plus
