Day 1 Studios is looking for a creative, gifted, and driven Cinematics Director to join the team. This artist will report to the producer and will be responsible for planning and directing all cinematic elements within the game; your responsibility will be to create cut-scenes on par with what moviegoers see in theaters, evoke emotion, and bring our game universes to life for the player.

The ideal candidate will possess:
A passion for interactive entertainment and games.
The ability to develop, communicate and execute a vision for cinematics within the game.
Demonstrated ability to pre-visualize scenes through storyboards and animatics, direct artist and then use the tools developed by Day 1 Studios to implement these scenes.
Both a breadth and depth of knowledge of cinematic technique.
The ability and desire to drive development of our existing engine and tools to facilitate greater cinematic immersion.
Sufficient technical strength that allows one to work within an in-game scripting language.
Outstanding writing ability
Strong communication skills, the ability to listen, and the desire to work in a collaborative atmosphere.
The ability to attract and motivate artists.
A degree in cinematography or film, previous experience in the film, television or advertising industry, or previous experience as a cinematics director in the games industry required.
